This is a very useful map for finding one's way around the historic core of ancient Constantinople! Hotels, mosques, temples and shopping areas are clearly shown. This is a walking city, and the ITM map is ideal for finding your way around. Lan and I spent quite some time here, researching the map area, as did Andrew, the cartographer. One of the great treasures of Istanbul is Constantine's column, raised to acknowledge the acceptance of Christianity in 303AD. Much of the significance of that time period was in Constantinople, not Rome. Legend Includes: Roads by classification, metro lines, bus terminals, parks, attractions, accommodations, point of interests, shopping centers, mosques, churches, post offices, museums, and other information. |
